![]() Night variations feel like a natural evolution of both Snap and the basic concept. Plus the game makes great use of basic Switch features so you can make a more robust gallery if you really wanted. You have multiple photos for each Pokemon so you have some breadth in how you capture them, but it's also limited enough that you have to pick which one you like most. It's like a shortcut to being able to create a gallery without thinking too much on upkeep. I don't remember if the original Snap did the four stars thing, but I like that you seem to have four photos saved there. It lends us to the idea that this game is essentially an arcade action rail shooter, just a non-violent variation of it. The professor will be a sort of mad scientist type who invents this fancy new dice called a camera and asks the player to use it to take photos of pokemon, his wife will be a scientist and artist who creates the entries in the pokedex using those photos. Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Astral Chain, Pokemon Snap, Animal Crossing, Labo VR.Īm I crazy for thinking that Pokemon Legends: Arceus will also have a big photography component? My thinking is that a large part of the game will be the photography element of Breath of the Wild but a little bit more involved, requiring a couple different behaviors to get a complete entry in the pokedex. Nintendo has been making a lot of games with photography mechanics for the Switch. ![]()
